Directions to the VEST Center – Christiana Care, Newark Campus
The VEST Center is located on the Christiana Care Campus in Newark, Delaware.
Parking & Entry
• Park in the main garage, located off Route 4, directly in front of the Christiana Care campus.
• Enter the hospital through the main entrance, accessible from the parking garage.
Navigating to the VEST Center
1. Once inside the main lobby, exit to your left.
2. Follow the hallway toward the Heart and Vascular Building (look for signage above each hallway entrance).
3. Continue through the hallway until you reach the Heart and Vascular Building lobby (also referred to as the E Tower).
4. Proceed down the hallway toward the John Ammons Education Building.
5. At the Brew Ha-Ha café, turn left and continue straight. You are now in the Education Building hallway.
6. This hallway leads directly to the John Ammons Education Building lobby.
7. At the Information Desk, turn right. The elevator and stairs will be directly across from the desk on your right-hand side.
8. Take the elevator or stairs down one level to the ground floor.
9. After exiting, turn left and enter the VEST Center.

• Use the QR code reader at the entrance to sign in for your exam RE-TEST

HeartCode BLS is the AHA’s blended learning delivery method for the BLS Course. HeartCode blended learning delivers quality resuscitation education regardless of where providers are located and gives them more control to complete the course at their own pace. Providers first complete the online portion of HeartCode BLS and then complete a hands-on skills session with an AHA BLS Instructor or on a simulation station.

Learners should have purchased and completed the online portion through American Heart Association prior to scheduling the hands on skills test.

Promotional codes, for online registration, are assigned and are intended for use by pre-designated users only. Registrants found to have used unauthorized promotional codes will be required to pay full course fees or have registration cancelled.

 

Reminder for Skills Test Participants in the VEST Center
If you are completing the skills test in the VEST Center, please remember that it is considered a patient care area. As such, appropriate attire is required. Open-toe shoes, tank tops, and shorts are not permitted.
